I've been wanting to learn how to crochet for...like...ever. So when
Rachel from: Maybe Matilda hosted a crochet along I was like,
"heck yes!"
I'm sure you already saw my sad attempt at the "should have been
square but wasn't" dishcloth. That's what happened when I tried to
teach myself....ironically I did the same thing with cowl #1. I thought
to myself, "self, you've already mastered the single, half double, and
double crochet stitches I'm sure you can skip ahead and figure out
how to read that cowl pattern." Yup, that's what I said to myself.
You know what, I lied to my poor self because, while it wasn't an epic failure
(it still looks okay) it sure wasn't right! I found out quickly that crochet
patterns are written (or may as well be written) in ancient Hebrew!
So thank you Rachel for your awesome dissection of that pattern. If you want
to know how to make a fish net just let me know (wink wink).
Here's me getting my poser on....don't laugh, all my smiley pictures
looked like poop!
Ooooooooh, you're pretty! I love your cowls. The short green one is my fav.
ReplyDeleteThey're both beautiful! And the green one isn't WRONG, it's just an adaptation! You did a great job on both . . . I love them!
ReplyDeletelove both and the colors are great!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! Your green one looks a lot like my first attempt... it took me three tries to get it right :) They're both great though!
ReplyDeleteTe han quedado las dos capuchas muy bonitas.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo.
Well, if that's wrong I'll take it! Both of them look great, especially on you!
