everyone ate it......and loved it! I'm bewildered
and delighted all at the same time. So here's the
recipe maybe you'll have the same sort of luck.
Chili
* 2 lbs. hamburger cooked, drained and crumbled
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 1 Tbsp olive oil
* 1 tsp. minced garlic
* 46 oz. V8 juice
* 15 oz. can of tomato sauce
*1/2 tsp. oregano
* 1/2 tsp. sugar
* 2 tsp cumin
* 3-4 Tbsp. chili powder
* 1 tsp. salt
* 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
* dash of cayenne pepper
* 3- 15 oz. cans of assorted beans
* 2 Tbsp. cornmeal
Sauté onion and garlic in oil until soft and translucent. Add
cooked hamburger, juice, sauce, spices, and beans. Bring to
a boil and then turn down the heat and simmer for an hour.
Add cornmeal half way through simmering. Serve over
baked potatoes with cheese and sour cream.....mmmmmm.
While this makes a huge vat of chili, it freezes great!!
Ooh yum! Sounds delish!!!
