I love baby gifts!!

My daughter's teacher recently had a baby. Nothing gets me more
excited to sew than new babies! When I found this pattern I had to
buy it. I'm really liking pdf patterns. There's no wait and you can save
it to your computer so that if you're prone to losing stuff (ahem)
you can print it out again. Wonderful!!

Of course I couldn't let the scraps go to waste could I? No!

I also have become an adoring fan of Joel Dewberry's wood grain
fabric. I think I need some more but in pink. So, here's to babies!
And making wood grained sneakers for them!!

awwww....it's so tiny!

I've recently been engaged in a pretty big, awesome, and
somewhat secretive project. I shouldn't say much, but it
does involve newborn diapers.....

they're so small and snuggly!

ps. to my knowledge I am not pregnant....so don't ask
And if I do end up in such a way, don't laugh too much!

Wipes

I love cloth diapering! I love the cuteness! I love that there
are tons of options. And I love that I'm saving money. C'mon,
you know me. I'm all about saving a buck.

Here's another money saving idea for you....I'm sure a lot of you
already know this but I'm going to blog about it anyway!

Homemade wipe solution. Super easy and you know what?
Those of you that don't do cloth can still use this to make
disposable wipes! Awesome, right!!

What you need:

Spray bottle
2 Cups water
1/4 Cup baby wash
2 Tablespoon olive oil
5 Drops tea tree oil (optional)

Okay, now for the really hard part. Combine these ingredients
in your spray bottle. Ya...it wasn't really hard. I was being sarcastic.

Now if you want to make disposable wipes omit the spray bottle.
Cut in half a roll of sturdy paper towels. Place one paper towel half
in a container with a lid and pour the soapy, smelly stuff over the
top. Remove the cardboard core and cover the container. These
are great! And I love using the tea tree oil because it's antiseptic,
antibacterial, anti fungal, and antiviral! Wiping bums is dirty
business. The tea tree oil just gives me peace of mind.

car seat cover

I went to a baby shower last night. I always really
like to give "hand-made". I loved this so I needed
to give it a try. Now I need one.....maybe.

I think I need another baby....a girl one

I never thought I'd have a diaper fixation, but
I do. I love cute diapers on squishy baby bums.
I particularly like creating something that is new
and unique...I'm so weird.

it's a neon diaper!!

Whew! I finally overcame my fear and stitched up a
diaper. You know what? It wasn't that bad. And now
my baby has a bum that will stop traffic....literally, it's
like neon orange!

I'm thinking of marketing them. What do you think?
