T-shirt gone cardigan

Sad story: Back in September I took a little trip to Utah for my baby sister's wedding. A dear friend of mine and I, spent an afternoon traipsing all over Salt Lake City (that's not the sad part). The sad part of the story is when I realized that I left my most beloved grey cardigan and have seemingly lost it forever. I seriously wore that thing ALL the time and now (sniff) I can't.

Happy story: While it will never replace my darling grey cardi, I decided to perk up and make a new one for myself out of a lovely mustard jersey T-shirt.
Watch it. Love it.

Yes....I am super dork!

  3. So cute, love the colour too. I'm a total sewing novice, how do you make button holes? I don't think I have a thing on my machine for it..

  12. if you never button your cardi's you could just add the buttons for interest and don't worry about adding the button holes????

  13. Hi Amanda, this is Emily. 20 years ago I used to make cardigans from sweat shirts using various finishing trims from simple top stitching to lace. They took just a few minutes to do. I love your long sleeved t's/cardigans!
