coral jeans

I know everyone and their Aunt Lucy is doing this, but I had to share my one and only successful dye job.

Coral jeans.

Lemme share a few little things I learned:

  1. Don't use Rit dye remover. It stinks and is not great for denim.
  2. If perchance you've soaked your jeans in bleach water (3 gallons water 3 cups bleach) and it's patchy, you can spot bleach with Scrub Free bleach bathroom cleaner. It totally works for those pesky still blue spots! Let me reiterate, don't use Rit dye remover on denim!
  3. To get this lovely coral color, mix 1 bottle Rit dye in scarlet and 1/3 cup Rit dye in Sunshine orange.
  4. Make sure you have enough time in your day to follow ALL dye instructions. Colored jeans are hot but not when they're splotchy!

Now I need some minty fresh skinnies and yellow capris.....I'm sure of it!

  2. What a lovely colour! I don't think I'd have the patience to custom mix but these do look awesome. Thanks so much for sharing at Etcetorize this week~
